Happy New Year 2021!

2020, a year that went by so fast, yet did so much. It certainly was one of a kind.

2020 started a new decade, defined a new normal, and filled hope in everyone for 2021. Hope, so that this pandemic begone. Hope, so that they get to see their loved ones soon. Hope, so that no one faces a heartbreaking loss due to the virus. We lost so many wonderful people last year, from actors to activists to our dear ones. Many people are still dying, suffering, and trying to stay alive, fighting against the virus. It was a year that reflected on what’s more important, our family, and the fact that we can all work from home. It made us closer to ourselves, and we were able to make time for everything, like ourself, family, friends, work and school. We finally cleaned our homes (we still are),and I am sure most of us had a change in ourselves, internally and externally. We found ourselves taking up new interests and actually doing them. Be it dance, music, writing, or baking, cooking, some people took it as a hobby, while others made a small business out of it.Yes, there were some Karens and Kens, who refused to wear masks, and comply to the rules, and spoke to managers, and went out like COVID was a joke...

But hey, the not-a-Karen/Ken clan won! We made it till here, so we can and must keep going! 2020 gave us tons of masks, hand sanitizers and we became more neat and clean.. Remember how we hated cleanliness-freaks? Well, we have to be ALMOST like them now. Who imagined!

This year made us realize that our real superheroes aren’t the celebrities, but the frontline workers and those who spent the whole day and night working thrice as hard to keep everything going, sacrificing their family time and themselves for the virus.  It was a horrible year, yes, but we did learn so much, and we aren’t just gonna forget it that easily. Let’s pray that 2021 is not a more worse version of 2020, keeping in mind that with the arrival of 2021, COVID is NOT going to disappear. It’s here to stay, and make even bigger problems for us if we aren’t careful enough. So, please don’t go around everywhere as if COVID has gone, stay at home and do your part for the world. While you’re at it, look back on the year that was, pat yourself on the back for surviving it, and brace yourself for this hopeful year.

Wishing you a Wonderful Happy New Year 2021!  Keep smiling and love yourself! Stay safe, stay amazing fellow hoomans.
